Update by user Nov 22, 2018

ABC11 News (WTVD) The Trouble Shooter did an interview with me that aired on November 19th about this NABI tablet with pictures of this actual unit that erupted.

Purchased NABI Tablet's for 2 grand children for Christmas 2017. Over the course of less than a year the tablets began not holding a full charge and the cpu began doing crazy uncontrollable things.

Then last week while it was charging it erupted with a highly swollen battery, hot to the touch and the screen fractured as it popped open out of the case! If this had happened while my grandson was holding it, my fear is that several dangerous things could have happened to him aside from being burned and cut, splinters of the screen could have went in his eyes! Thank goodness it was on the counter while charging and the incident happened. The only tell tale signs leading up to this eruption is the beginning of not hold a charge and the cpu starts acting up causing the tablet to do crazy things while using it.

I did happen to notice on the NABI Tablet and battery that there are no 3rd party safety test markings at all.

No UL, CSA, ETL or CE markings what so ever. That concerned me and brought to mind the question, Have these units been actually tested fully for child safety by a responsible 3rd party facility?

Product or Service Mentioned: Nabi 2 Tablet.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

Monetary Loss: $80.

Preferred solution: Test by 3rd party, bear approval listing mark, warn the unsuspecting, protect the children.

I didn't like: Continual problems with defective units.
